Putin arrives in Kazakhstan to strengthen relations and discuss energy cooperation

 

The Russian president, Vladimir Putin, arrived in Kazakhstan for a two-day visit aimed at strengthening relations with Russia’s ally in Central Asia amid escalating tensions due to the Ukraine war.
Despite Kazakhstan’s membership in the Moscow-led Collective Security Treaty Organization, it has expressed concern about the ongoing conflict that has lasted for three years, with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev reaffirming his country’s support for peaceful dialogue.
