Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported today, Thursday, that over 200 people were killed in ongoing battles between the Syrian Army and Hayat Tahrir al-Sham in northern Syria.
The clashes resulted in the death of 182 militants and 61 Syrian soldiers, in addition to 19 civilians killed by Russian airstrikes.
Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and its allied factions also seized control of the Damascus-Aleppo international highway (M5) near the town of al-Zarbah, leading to its closure once again after years of being reopened.
