Chad cancels defence cooperation agreements with France

Chad’s Foreign Minister Abdulrahman Kalamallah has announced the cancellation of his country’s security and defence cooperation agreements with France, just hours after his French counterpart Jean-Noël Barro visited N’Djamena.

The government of the Republic of Chad informs the national and international public opinion of its decision to cancel the defence cooperation agreement signed with the French Republic,’ Kalamallah said in a statement published by his ministry on its Facebook page, according to AFP.
