Clashes erupted between protesters and police in Georgia following the government’s announcement to delay European Union accession talks.

Thousands gathered outside the parliament in Tbilisi, where police used rubber bullets and tear gas to disperse the crowd.

Georgia’s president accused Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze of waging a “war” on his people, while the European Parliament rejected the recent election results.
