UK Parliament Approves Assisted Dying Bill for England and Wales

The UK Parliament has granted initial approval to the assisted dying bill for England and Wales, with MPs voting 330 in favor and 275 against.

The legislation allows adults suffering from terminal illnesses to legally end their lives.

Earlier, Justice Secretary Shabana Mahmood criticized the bill, warning that it could lead the country down a “dangerous slope towards death on demand.”
