Dozens of people were killed on Sunday in clashes between fans during a football match in Nzérékoré, southeastern Guinea, according to medical sources.

Local media reported that this sporting event was dedicated to the military leader, General Mamadi Doumbouya, who came to power following a coup in September 2021.
