On Sunday, Jordan’s King Abdullah II expressed the kingdom’s support for Syria’s stability and territorial integrity amid the large-scale offensive launched by armed factions in the northern part of the country.
In a phone call with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani, the developments in Syria were discussed, with the King emphasizing Jordan’s stance in support of Syria’s unity and sovereignty.
Meanwhile, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that Aleppo has, for the first time since the beginning of the conflict, fallen out of Syrian government control following the advance of armed factions in the city.
