Attacks carried out by the Malian army using drones resulted in the deaths of 8 Tuareg rebel leaders in the town of Tinzouatine, northern Mali, according to a spokesperson for the rebels on Sunday.
This is the largest such toll since the rebellion began in 2012, with spokesperson Mohamed Mouloud Ramadan indicating that the attacks occurred on December 1, 2024, near the Algerian border.
Since 2012, Mali has been embroiled in a bloody war against terrorist groups, despite the intervention of the Malian army, supported by fighters from the Russian “Wagner” group, in combating these organizations.
