Syria witnessed a significant escalation today in northwest Aleppo, as opposition forces captured several key locations, including the towns of Kafr Bisin and Kafr Naha, as well as the strategic Base 46, one of the largest military installations controlled by the regime in the area.
The advance came after intense battles, forcing regime forces to withdraw from these positions. In response, Syrian and Russian forces launched heavy airstrikes on opposition-held areas in Idlib and Aleppo, resulting in numerous casualties and injuries.
Field reports also confirmed the death of an Iranian military advisor in Aleppo during the clashes, adding a regional dimension to the growing tensions.
These developments heighten concerns over the possibility of a broader conflict, as military confrontations continue with no signs of de-escalation in sight.
