Former U.S. President Donald Trump has announced his intention to attend the grand reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris this Saturday. This marks his first international trip since his re-election.

The event celebrates the restoration of the iconic cathedral, which suffered significant damage in a 2019 fire. Over 50 world leaders, including French President Emmanuel Macron, will join the festivities. The ceremony will feature a mass led by Archbishop Laurent Ulrich and a special musical performance by international artists.

Notre Dame, a symbol of France’s cultural and religious heritage, has undergone a five-year restoration at a cost of €700 million. Enhanced security measures and public viewing zones along the Seine River will be in place for the event.
