Georgia: Dozens arrested as protests against EU suspension continue

Protests in Georgia continue, resulting in the arrest of over 300 people following the ruling party “Georgian Dream’s” decision to suspend talks on joining the European Union.

Protesters accused the police of using violence against them, while Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili accused the opposition of inciting violence.

Meanwhile, UN human rights official Volker Turk expressed deep concern over the use of force against protesters.
