More Than 60,000 People Displaced to Kurdish-Controlled Areas After Syrian Factions’ Attack

The Kurdish Self-Administration in northern and eastern Syria announced on Wednesday that over 60,000 people have been displaced to its areas due to the advance of Syrian armed factions in the northwest of the country.
The Kurdish authorities also added that another 120,000 displaced people are expected to arrive soon from the regions of Shahba, Afrin, and the countryside of Aleppo.
In recent days, armed factions led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham launched a military attack, which resulted in the capture of Aleppo and Idlib, with their progress continuing toward Hama.
