Norway withdraws its investments from Bezeq after its violation of international law in the West Bank

The Norwegian sovereign wealth fund has liquidated its investments in Bezeq, the Israeli company, due to its provision of telecommunications services to Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank.
The decision was made late on Tuesday after the fund adopted stricter ethical standards, considering that Bezeq contributes to facilitating and expanding illegal settlements, which constitutes a violation of international law.
The fund’s stake in the company declined during the first half of 2024, leading to its final decision to completely divest from it.
