Iraqi media reported on Thursday that Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein will meet tomorrow with his Syrian and Iranian counterparts to discuss the situation in Syria, following rapid advances by Syrian factions in the north of the country, where they took control of the cities of Aleppo and Hama.
In this context, Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal al-Miqdad arrived in Baghdad today, and his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, is expected to arrive tomorrow.
Syrian sources also confirmed the entry of Iraqi fighters into Syria to support Assad, while the Popular Mobilization Forces were deployed along the border with Syria as a precautionary measure.
