Thomas Bach, President of the International Olympic Committee, said Germany will not host the Olympics unless it allows athletes from Russia and Belarus to compete.

He stated that the government violated sports neutrality by banning these athletes. Bach emphasized that until this issue is resolved, discussions on hosting the Olympics in Germany cannot happen.

The last Olympics in Germany were held in Munich in 1972.
