Doctors Without Borders has reported that the cholera outbreak in Malakal, the capital of Upper Nile state in South Sudan, is rapidly escalating.

Since the first suspected case was detected over a month ago, 737 cholera cases have been confirmed.

The organization warns that the disease could spread to surrounding areas, raising concerns about the health situation in the country.
