South Korea’s capital, Seoul, witnessed large-scale protests on Friday calling for President Yoon Suk-yeol’s resignation and urging the ruling party to take a decisive stance in Saturday’s impeachment vote.

Protesters criticized Yoon’s actions, which the opposition labeled a “constitutional rebellion.”

In a striking statement, Han Dong-hoon, leader of the ruling “People Power Party,” warned that Yoon’s “extremist tendencies” could endanger national security, emphasizing the need for impeachment.

These events follow Yoon’s failed attempt to impose martial law, which triggered widespread public and political backlash.
