The Russian Embassy in Syria urged Russian citizens on Friday to leave Syrian territory due to the escalating developments in the country.

TASS news agency reported that the embassy recommended departing via available commercial flights.

The Russian diplomatic mission in Syria indicated that this action comes in light of the “difficult military and political situation,” emphasizing the importance of “leaving Syria through the currently available airports.”
