A powerful explosion occurred in the Mariahoeve neighborhood of The Hague on Saturday morning, resulting in three fatalities and multiple injuries.

The blast destroyed several apartments, and four people were rescued from the rubble and taken to the hospital.

Mayor Jan van Zanen stated that the cause of the explosion remains unclear, and police are searching for a car seen leaving the scene.
