The foreign ministers of Iran, Abbas Araghchi, Turkey, Hakan Fidan, and Russia, Sergey Lavrov, began a meeting in Doha on Saturday to discuss developments in Syria, where in recent days, armed factions have made advances while the regime’s forces have retreated in some areas.

The three countries, through their participation in the Astana format, which was launched several years ago, seek to find solutions to the Syrian crisis without being part of any military camp on the ground, according to foreign media.
