A Russian shelling in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia has killed nine people and injured nearly 20, according to Governor Ivan Fedorov.

Intense fires erupted following the attack, with firefighters working to extinguish the flames after the strike damaged several homes, shops, and cars.

Authorities issued air strikes in the city, warning of possible further attacks.
