The Syrian opposition has appointed engineer Mohammad Al-Bashir, head of the Salvation Government in Idlib, to form a new Syrian government to manage the transitional phase, according to Syrian media outlets.
Al-Bashir, born in Idlib in 1983, holds a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Aleppo (2007) and a degree in Sharia and Law from the University of Idlib (2021).
He previously served as Director of Associations and then as Minister of Development and Humanitarian Affairs in the Salvation Government since 2022.
