The Syrian Football Federation announced today, Monday, that it has changed its official logo, adopting a new design dominated by the color green, which is associated with the symbolism of the Syrian opposition.
The logo was unveiled on the day the opposition forces entered Damascus, sparking wide reactions from the public on social media. The new logo retained the old design, with the addition of a third star and a shift to the color green.
Although the federation did not clarify the reasons for choosing green, observers linked this change to the political developments in the country.
On another note, the federation decided to postpone the Syrian league upon the request of the premier league clubs, considering the current circumstances and ongoing battles in the country.
