Six soldiers were killed and another seriously injured in a military helicopter crash in southwestern Turkey on Monday, the Turkish Defence Ministry said.

The helicopter, a UH-1, crashed during a training mission in Isparta and the injured soldier was taken to hospital for treatment, the ministry said in a statement.

The helicopter crashed in the Kasipurlu district after colliding with another helicopter, Sparta Governor Abdullah Aren said.
