Armed men have kidnapped dozens of women and children in northwest Nigeria, in the latest episode of a series of abductions plaguing the region.

Police reported that the incident occurred in the village of Kafin Dawa in Zamfara State.

Residents stated that men armed with assault rifles stormed homes and abducted dozens of women and children.
