Afghanistan : Minister of Refugees killed in Kabul bomb blast

Afghan Minister for Refugees and Displaced Persons Khalilur Rahman Haqqani has been killed in a “mysterious” explosion at the ministry’s headquarters in the capital Kabul, a government source told AFP.

Local press reports said several other people were killed in the blast, without giving details of who was behind it.
The Daesh terrorist group, through its affiliate in Khorasan province, usually carries out deadly attacks on mosques and public places, while armed groups occasionally target Taliban fighters.

The Taliban seized power in Afghanistan in 2021 and have vowed to restore security to the war-torn country.
