US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will visit Turkey on Friday to discuss developments in Syria following the departure of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s regime, a Turkish source said on Wednesday.

Blinken “will be in Turkey on Friday,” the source said, just five days after the departure of the Assad regime, according to AFP.

The US has called for an ‘inclusive’ political process in Syria.
The Syrian people will decide the future of the country,’ Blinken said, stressing that Washington ‘will fully recognise and support the future Syrian government that emerges from this process.
