Jordan: 6 dead and 60 injured in a fire at an elderly care home in Amman

A fire broke out today, Friday, in an elderly care home in the Jordanian capital, Amman, resulting in the deaths of 6 people and injuring 60 others, including 5 in critical condition, according to the Public Security Directorate.

Preliminary investigations indicated that the fire was caused by the actions of one of the residents of the home, which the White Family Association operates in the Al-Jweideh area.

Additionally, 111 residents were evacuated to alternative shelters to ensure their safety.
