Foreign ministers from Arab countries participating in the Arab Ministerial Contact Committee on Syria met on Saturday in the Jordanian city of Aqaba to discuss the developments that have taken place in the country over the past weeks.
The committee includes representatives from Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt, the Secretary-General of the Arab League, as well as the foreign ministers of the UAE, Bahrain, and Qatar.
The final statement emphasized support for the Syrian people, the necessity of halting military operations, and providing humanitarian aid while condemning the Israeli incursion into the buffer zone. It also called for a comprehensive national dialogue to build a secure and stable state.
