Fifteen members of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham were killed in an ambush carried out by gunmen in the village of Muzayra in the Latakia countryside in Syria.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that this incident is the first of its kind since the fall of Bashar al-Assad, noting that several injuries were also reported.

Our correspondent confirmed that a state of general alert was declared across the Syrian coast following the deaths of members from various armed factions in the ambush.
