Three people were killed and 48 others injured in an explosion during a festival in Thailand near the border with Myanmar.

The blast occurred in the Amphang area of Tak province, where a homemade explosive device was thrown into a crowd of participants.

Thai authorities arrested two men following the explosion, one of whom is a Thai youth, and the other is linked to the Karen National Front, which denies any involvement in the incident.
