“ECOWAS” Gives Niger, Mali, and Burkina Faso 6 Months to Review Withdrawal Decision

The ECOWAS regional summit in Abuja has decided to establish a transitional period from January 29, 2025, to July 29, 2025, while keeping the doors open for Niger, Mali, and Burkina Faso.

The group has given these countries six months to reconsider their withdrawal decision, which followed accusations of imposing “inhumane” sanctions.
