U.S. Airstrikes in Syria Kill 12 ISIS Militants

12 ISIS militants were killed in Syria as a result of airstrikes conducted by U.S. forces, according to the U.S. military.

The U.S. Central Command reported that the strikes targeted the group’s leaders, operatives, and camps as part of efforts to prevent ISIS from carrying out external operations and to ensure it did not attempt to reconstitute itself in central Syria.

The strikes also targeted areas controlled by the former regime and Russia to maintain pressure on the organization.
