China successfully launched a new set of satellites into space on Tuesday from a satellite launch centre in Taiyuan, northern Shaanxi province.
The launch took place at 02:50 Beijing time on a Long March-2D carrier rocket, with the satellites successfully entering their designated orbits, Xinhua reported.
The launch is the 553rd mission for the Long March series of rockets, a mainstay of China’s space programmes, as efforts continue to boost China’s space capabilities.
