Tahrir al-Sham commander Ahmad al-Sharaa has vowed to “disband armed factions” and integrate their fighters into the new Syrian army.

This came in a statement on behalf of a coalition of armed factions led by Tahrir al-Sham that took power in Syria after the ouster of former president Bashar al-Assad.

We must have a state mentality and not an opposition mentality (…) the factions will be dissolved and the fighters will be ready to join the defence ministry and everyone will be subject to the law,’ al-Joulani said, according to AFP.
