The Russian Investigation Committee reported today (Wednesday) the arrest of an Uzbek citizen suspected of involvement in the assassination of Russian General Igor Kirillov in Moscow yesterday, an attack for which Kyiv has taken responsibility.
The committee stated in a statement that the suspect, born in 1995, confirmed that he was recruited by Ukrainian intelligence. Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated that it will present the case to the UN Security Council on December 20, emphasizing that all those involved will be punished.
Kirillov was killed in an explosion near Moscow, and Ukraine had accused him of using chemical weapons against its forces.
