The death toll from Tuesday’s earthquake in the Pacific nation of Vanuatu has risen to 14 in the capital Port Vila, while at least 200 people are being treated at the capital’s main hospital and other medical centres.

Rescuers continue to search for people still trapped under the rubble of the 7.4 magnitude earthquake, which damaged commercial buildings, embassies and a hospital.
