New U.S. Sanctions on Iran and Houthi Linked Entities

The United States has imposed sanctions on individuals and entities linked to Iran and the Yemeni Houthi group, including three ships involved in the trade of Iranian oil and petrochemicals.
The sanctions target the funding of Iran’s destabilizing activities, including its nuclear program, ballistic missile development, and support for proxies such as Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis.
In this context, the U.S. Department of the Treasury stated that Iran relies on a network of ships and companies to fund these activities.
