At least 8 migrants have drowned and 18 others were rescued off the coast of Greece after the coast guard pursued a boat they were on in the Aegean Sea.

The speedboat capsized near the island of Rhodes while attempting to evade a Greek patrol vessel, resulting in several passengers falling into the water, with the total number of people who were on board the boat still unclear.
