Malaysia resumes search for MH370 10 years after disappearance

The Malaysian government has agreed in principle to accept a second proposal from a US company to resume the search for flight MH370, which is believed to have crashed in the southern Indian Ocean more than a decade ago

Malaysian Transport Minister Anthony Lok said today (Friday) that the cabinet had agreed at its meeting last week that Texas-based Ocean Infinity should continue to search the 15,000 square kilometre area of ocean.

The Boeing 777 disappeared from radar screens shortly after take-off on 8 March 2014 with 239 people on board on a flight from the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur to the Chinese capital Beijing.
