A bus crash into a valley in Lorestan province, western Iran, today (Saturday) claimed the lives of at least ten people.

Mohammad Qadami, head of the Red Crescent in the region, reported that rescue teams were dispatched to the site.

Iran has a poor road safety record, with more than 20,000 people dying in traffic accidents last year.
