On Sunday, Iranian media reported that 10 soldiers were killed in a bus crash in western Iran, while 17 others were injured.

The soldiers were en route to a military base in Dokhtan, about 100 kilometers from the Iraqi border.

Iran experiences approximately 20,000 road fatalities annually, largely due to the use of old vehicles and non-compliance with traffic regulations.
