The International Organization for Migration revealed that the number of registered migrants in Libya has reached 787,326, with 54% of them concentrated in the western region.
The statistics also indicate that 78% of the migrants are adult men, 11% are women, and 11% are children, with 4% of the children being unaccompanied.
The majority of migrants come from Sudan (26%), Niger (24%), and Egypt (21%). Additionally, 49% of the migrants work in the construction sector, while 21% face unemployment, with the unemployment rate for women rising to 51%.
