Syria’s new administration, led by Ahmad al-Shara, emphasized that all weapons in the country will be under state control.

In a press conference with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Damascus, al-Shara stated that armed groups will begin disbanding and integrating into the Syrian military.

The goal is to ensure that only the state holds weapons, strengthening national unity and central authority.
