Nine people were killed and 13 others injured today, Monday, in a collision between a bus and a fuel tanker near the city of Zahedan in southeastern Iran.

This accident follows another incident just two days earlier in western Iran, where ten people lost their lives.

Iran has been witnessing a rise in traffic accidents, with thousands of fatalities annually due to poor road safety standards.
