On Wednesday, the Palestinian movement Hamas announced that negotiations regarding a ceasefire and prisoner exchange are being held seriously in Doha, mediated by Qatar and Egypt.

In a statement via its Telegram channel, Hamas explained that it has shown responsibility and flexibility in the talks.

However, Israel introduced new conditions related to withdrawal, ceasefire, prisoners, and the return of displaced persons, which delayed the reaching of an agreement that was within reach.
