China to Build Massive Hydroelectric Dam on Yarlung Tsangpo River

China has approved the construction of the world’s largest hydroelectric dam on the Yarlung Tsangpo River in Tibet, which will generate 300 billion kWh of electricity annually.
The project is expected to contribute to environmental and developmental goals. However, there are concerns about its impact on water flow and the environment in India and Bangladesh, potentially affecting river systems in those countries.
