Azerbaijan Airlines has announced the suspension of flights to 7 Russian cities starting today, as a Russian military expert suggested that the plane that crashed in Kazakhstan may have been hit by something resembling a surface-to-air missile.
The airline confirmed that its investigations indicate the aircraft was subjected to “external physical and technical interference.”
Meanwhile, Moscow has declined to comment on allegations that a Russian missile caused the crash of the Azerbaijani plane, which resulted in the deaths of 38 people.
Additionally, comments from the Azerbaijani capital, Baku, included demands for Moscow to apologize regarding the incident involving the plane and Russian air defenses.
