The Egyptian Ministry of Environment announced today, Sunday, that a tourist was killed and another was injured as a result of a shark attack at the Marsa Alam resort on the Red Sea.

The nationalities of the tourists have not been disclosed, and they were transferred to Porto Ghalib Hospital.

The Ministry of Environment reported that it has raised the state of readiness in the Red Sea reserves and issued directives to form an urgent committee to investigate the causes of the incident.
