CAF Penalties Against 4 Arab Clubs and the Libyan National Team Due to Fan Violence

The Disciplinary Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has decided to impose penalties on four Arab clubs and the Libyan national team due to fan violence during continental competitions.

The sanctions include $10,000 each for Algeria’s CR Belouizdad, Union Algerienne, and Morocco’s Royal Army Club, while Tunisian club Sfaxien was fined $20,000. Additionally, the Libyan Football Federation was penalized with a $50,000 fine and the imposition of two matches without fans.

These penalties result from incidents that occurred during the African Champions League and the Confederation Cup matches in November and December 2024.
